This handmade poster print of David Bowie's 1980 album 'Scary Monsters' shows how things might have turned out as a collection of vintage Penguin Books if he'd picked up his pen instead of a microphone.
By artists Simon James, each book in the print corresponds to a track on the album, arranged in the order they appear on the original vinyl release.
The books, in track order, are: It's No Game (No. 1), Up The Hill Backwards, Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps), Ashes to Ashes, Fashion, Teenage Wildlife, Scream Like A Baby, Kingdom Come, Because You're Young, and It's No Game (No. 2).
They're all based on those wonderful classic Penguin and Pelican paperback book designs, and the books themselves have been specially chosen so that their colours echo those seen in the original album artwork.Professionally printed on 200gsm/120lb premium archival heavy silk paper.
Sold unframed but fits easily into an off the shelf frame (the frame in the photo is for illustration purposes only).
