Hand Painted Antique And Vintage Furniture By Clementene Coates

I recently had the pleasure of working with the very talented Clementene Coates who specialises in restoring and hand painting antique and vintage furniture.

Clementene encourages you to ‘Embrace the old and treat yourself to something new’! A fellow Yorkshirewoman, she believes in giving a new lease of life to old, forgotten furniture which may have suffered a few knocks and bruises, but underneath it all has real beauty.

I have been busy working on a residential interior design project lately where I’m pretty much redesigning every room in my client’s home! My client had two large antique pine wardrobes and a huge armoire that she wanted restoring.

I had met Clementene earlier this year and knew that she would be the perfect person for the job!

Clementene & I worked closely with the client on styles, finishes and colours to ensure that we achieved the particular look we wanted for the furniture but also that it perfectly complimented the scheme.

The two pine wardrobes were painted with Marston & Langinger paints, whilst Clementene used Annie Sloan chalk paints and waxes on the armoire.

The results are fantastic and our client is delighted!
